Length: 11.6 miles / 18.7 km
Duration: Full day
Adventure Pass required for parking

This hike is for ADVANCED hikers only. What does that mean? You've hiked 10+ miles with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain in the past 4 weeks. We are also saying this because we may need to use microspikes or Ice Axe/ Crampons...more on this based on the weather conditions, so be sure to check for updates closer to the trip date.

The trail begins at the popular Icehouse Canyon trailhead about a mile beyond Mt. Baldy Village. Permits are required, but are self-serve and available at the Baldy Village Ranger Station. You can also call ahead to the Baldy Village Ranger Station (909-982-2829) the day before and ask them to post your permits on the bulletin board.

Trailhead Coordinates: 34.25018, -117.635997

Trailhead Directions:
From the 210, take the Mount Baldy exit and travel north. Go through the tiny Mount Baldy Village and take a right at the fork in the road toward Icehouse Canyon (not Mt. Baldy). Follow the road to the parking lot.

10 Essentials, sunscreen, hat, 3 liters of water + 1 electrolyte, snacks, lunch, camera, layers.
