@wilddiversity // “Creating a personal connection to the outdoors for BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ communities through adventures, skillshares, and education.”

Wild Diversity is a nonprofit organization that leads outdoor events, youth programs and more for minority groups. Their mission is to create a safe space for people of color and LGBTQIA+ individuals to explore the outdoors.

Check out their website www.wilddiversity.com to find upcoming events and programs focused on outdoor adventure and education for all.

@queernature // “anticolonial queer ancestral futurism • apocalyptic ecology • interspecies relations • place-based skills”

Through outdoor immersion programs, Queer Nature makes outdoor education accessible for everyone. Their vision is to create a sense of belonging for those who have been oppressed by societal structures for far too long.

This organization serves LGBTQ2+ people (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Two-Spirit) and QTBIPOCs (queer and trans black and indigenous people of color) and encourages allies to join in their efforts to build a more inclusive outdoors.

@theventureoutproject // “Wilderness Trips for the Queer, Trans, and LGBTQ+ Community. Based out of New England & Pacific Northwest 🌈🌲❤️”

The Venture Out Project organizes outstanding backpacking adventures, day hikes and special events for the queer and transgender community. All are welcome, from novice hikers to advanced wilderness explorers, kids, adults, and families.

@diversifyoutdoors // “Join the movement and help us #diversifyoutdoors”

As the creator of the movement #DiversifyOutdoors, which currently has 100,000 posts at the time of this writing, this organization built a framework for inclusion online and in the outdoors.

Now Diversify Outdoors is continuing its efforts through events and with a job board that helps people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community find inclusive career opportunities.

@outdoorjournaltour // “Empowering women through mindfulness + Mother Nature #wehiketoheal #iamwomeneverywhere 📍ATL ✊🏾🏳️‍🌈”
