How To Track Your Hikes

One of the most preventable measures a hiker can use to prepare him or herself when charting unfamiliar territory is to review the weather conditions. The more you can prepare yourself for the hike, the better time you will have on your hikes.... and it's just not safe to be hiking in bad weather. Checking the weather also helps you to determine what clothing to bring, how much water to pack (especially if it is hot) and more.

Do you know the do's and don'ts of staying hydrated while hiking? No matter the weather, it's always a great time to understand the importance of staying hydrated.

Leave No Trace & Recreate Responsibly

Do you know the 7 Leave No Trace Principles and how to Recreate Responsibly? Think of these Principles as guidelines to help you and your friends minimize your impact on wild spaces when you're out on your weekly hikes. With outdoor sports like hiking, climbing, and backpacking becoming increasingly popular every year, it’s more important than ever to be mindful of how we’re affecting outdoor spaces.
